Just finished this evening. Lately, most all my reading is done on books downloaded to my phone. There are some, like this one, that I miss the ability to flip back and forth between pages and draw stars and circles and lines and exclamation points around favorite bits.
Reading list 2012:
1. A Scanner Darkly by Philip K Dick
2. Weetzie Bat by Francesca Lia Block
3. Just Kids by Patti Smith
4. Witch Baby by Francesca Lia Block
5. Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff
6. Ray by Barry Hannah
Not a lot to this little video really, but it's been a while since I've driven through Tuscaloosa again. A bit of the campus outskirts here. Some shitty apartments where I spent a night or two. Once on our way back from Mississippi we pulled off 20 and I tried to show M a few places I lived, places I liked to go, campus, etc, but there was so much construction and congestion at the time that I gave up seeing it all again for the moment. It wasn't worth fighting traffic for sightseeing when we still had 7 hours of interstate ahead of us. Since then I've only been back once and only to catch a train to South Carolina, but to think back on it I'm not sure Tuscaloosa had much of a soul to me either.
