i really have so many things that i've made that are just waiting around to be photographed. i always put off the photography part - it's not that i don't enjoy doing it and i love going over the results - but it's such a huge chore, too. especially on days when nothing seems to come out the way you envisioned it or the weather plays tricks on you or it's too windy or the sun overexposes everything or your outfit doesn't look the way you thought or the colors won't come out true to life or your hair looks bad or your face is flushed and sweaty and so on. i wish i knew more about photography and how to deal with certain light situations and other photography conundrums, but alas - a photographer i am not.
i just added this throw blanket to the shop. it's one i made a few weeks ago and it's one that has a little bit of meaning to me being that one of the first memories i have of crochet is a rainbow throw my mom made as a christmas gift for my great grandmother. hers was a triangle motif design using white with traditional rainbow colors and sections of white bobbles to resemble clouds. it was the cutest thing ever. there are photos of my brother and i - still tiny little things - posing with it before she gave it away. when i go back home i'll try to find copies. till then here's kitty posing with mine:
i really wish i could make them more affordable - but once you buy all the different yarn colors in multiple skeins - and then all the hours it takes to stitch - it just adds up :(
